Change Default PDF Viewer - Firefox

Having problems opening a PDF online when using Firefox?


We've found that some sites won't properly show a PDF that you are trying to view or download.


You might get a notice something like this:



To prevent this from happening, try changing these settings:

1. Click on the 3 lines on the top right of Firefox.

2. Click on "Options" near the middle of the menu.

3. In the "Find in Options" field at the top of the page, type "PDF".

4. You will see an "Applications" box come up, look for "Portable Document Format (PDF)".

5. Most likely to the right of that you will see "Preview in Firefox" - click those words to see a drop-down menu.

6. Click on "Use Adobe Reader" or something of that variation as shown below.
